Improving website performance with LiteSpeed, NVMe and account optimisation

web-hosting, performance

Our Web Hosting offering uses technologies such as LiteSpeed, NVMe storage and CloudLinux to provide a strong foundation for website performance and shared-account management. They address different parts of the hosting environment. LiteSpeed handles web requests and can support effective caching, NVMe storage provides fast access to stored data, and CloudLinux helps manage account resource use within a shared server.

LiteSpeed

LiteSpeed is part of the performance technology advertised with our hosting.

01 Understand how hosting technology supports your website

The benefit to your website depends on its workload and configuration. A correctly cached public page can avoid repeated application processing, while faster storage can help tasks that read or write many files or database pages. Account resource controls help contain excessive consumption, but they also mean your own website needs to operate within its assigned limits. These technologies do not make CPU, memory or storage unlimited.

02 Measure, optimise and investigate remaining bottlenecks

  1. For an existing site, start with a measured review of representative pages.
  2. Check image sizes, application and plugin overhead, database work and third-party scripts.
  3. Use the caching options compatible with your application, and test the result after enabling or changing them.

Pages containing private or frequently changing information, such as logged-in areas and shopping baskets, need appropriate cache behaviour so one visitor does not receive another visitor's content.

If the website still feels slow, compare the timing of the slowdown with resource usage and error logs. A large image, a slow external API or an inefficient query may remain the main bottleneck even on fast hosting. We can help investigate the cause and assess whether optimisation or more account capacity would have the greater effect. We do not promise a fixed speed multiplier or a particular performance score for every site. CDN availability, specific caching tools and advanced optimisation features should be checked against the selected service rather than assumed from the server technology alone.

How do I know a hosting optimisation improved the website?

  1. Choose a representative slow page and record the test conditions and baseline result.
  2. Identify whether the delay comes from application work, large assets, a third-party request or a resource limit.
  3. Apply one compatible optimisation, clear the relevant cache and compare the same customer action afterward.

For logged-in or transactional pages, correctness comes before a higher score. Verify that customer-specific data is not served to another session and that checkout still works. LiteSpeed, fast storage and account isolation support performance, but they do not remove inefficient application logic or the selected plan's capacity limits.
