Adjusting per-domain PHP settings in Webuzo

control-panels, domains-dns

Change PHP configuration only when a measured application requirement calls for it. Webuzo exposes a PHP INI Editor, but the effective scope depends on the selected runtime, handler and settings available in your account.

What you need before you begin

Record the affected domain, current PHP version, error and existing INI value. Determine whether the editor selection applies to a domain, version or broader account scope in your installed interface. Have a recoverable configuration copy before using raw editor mode.

01 Adjust per-domain PHP settings in Webuzo

  1. Open Configuration > PHP INI Editor and select the relevant available context. Inspect the current values before changing them.
  2. For upload failures compare upload_max_filesize with post_max_size. The full request allowance must accommodate the file and other submitted data.
  3. For a memory error, measure the workload and choose a justified limit within the hosting allocation. Increasing PHP memory does not add physical server memory.
  4. Change one required setting and apply. When using editor mode, preserve valid INI syntax and avoid duplicate directives whose precedence is unclear.
  5. Repeat the failing operation once with safe test data. Check effective settings in the actual web request environment and inspect logs for a different limit or error.
  6. Review cron or command-line PHP separately, because its configuration can differ from the website handler.

Can I use unlimited values for every PHP limit?

That can allow one request to exhaust resources needed by other work. Set limits according to measured demand and improve the underlying operation when it is unnecessarily expensive.

Confirm the expected result

Confirm the intended setting is effective and the operation completes. Test another site in any potentially shared configuration scope. Keep production error display disabled and remove diagnostic pages that reveal paths, environment values or secrets.

Troubleshoot unexpected results

If no change appears, inspect the selected domain runtime, PHP handler, application limits and upstream web-server limits. A slow query or remote API timeout will not be repaired merely by increasing PHP execution time. Restore the previous value if resource usage becomes unstable.
