The native WHMCS Plesk module connects billing services to Plesk accounts and service plans. Set up and test the server connection before enabling automatic account creation for a public product.

01 Prepare Plesk access and plans
Use the Plesk hostname with a valid HTTPS certificate and confirm that the WHMCS server can reach the configured management port, commonly 8443. Create or verify the service plan in Plesk and decide whether the WHMCS product represents shared hosting or reseller hosting.
The account used by WHMCS must be authorised for the planned operation and target accounts. Keep its credentials private and use the authentication method supported by the installed module and Plesk version.
02 Connect WHMCS
- Open System Settings, Servers and Add New Server. Choose the Plesk module and enter the server hostname or IP and the supported access credentials.
- Use Test Connection. Resolve certificate, network or authentication errors before saving the server for production use.
- Save the server and assign it to the intended server group. Review the default-server selection if your allocation design uses it.
- Open the hosting product and select the Plesk module and server group in Module Settings.
- Enter the exact Service Plan Name. For reseller products, supply the required Reseller Plan Name and ensure that the product type matches reseller hosting.
- Save the product and perform a controlled provisioning test. Check both the WHMCS service record and the resulting Plesk account.
03 Check the resulting service
Confirm the subscription, domain, plan resources and customer access expected for the product. Creating a reseller does not automatically imply that a shared website subscription has also been created. Document any additional provisioning required by the product design.
Plesk add-on plans and WHMCS product addons are separate concepts. Do not assume that adding a billing addon applies a Plesk add-on plan unless the chosen integration explicitly performs that action.
What should I check when Plesk account creation fails?
Compare the exact plan name, product type and remote permissions before retrying. If the API timed out, first inspect Plesk for a partially created customer or subscription. Use Module Queue and temporary module logging to investigate without repeatedly creating duplicate accounts.
