SiteWorx DNS Records can edit the local zone for an account’s domains when the provider grants that permission. Changes affect public resolution only if that DNS service is authoritative for the domain.

Check access and requirements
Check the domain’s authoritative nameservers and save the existing record values and TTLs. Obtain the exact record type, name and value from the service you are connecting.
01 Add and edit DNS records in SiteWorx
- Open Hosting Features > Domains > DNS Records and select the domain’s magnifying-glass action.
- For a new record, choose its type from Add a New and open the form. For an existing record, edit the matching row instead of creating an accidental duplicate.
- Enter the required name, value, TTL and type-specific fields. Check whether the form expects a relative label or a complete hostname.
- Save and verify the authoritative answer. Then allow ordinary resolver caches to expire and test the connected service.
- Keep the previous value available for recovery and remove only obsolete records whose purpose has been confirmed.
Verify the authoritative DNS result
The authoritative DNS response should match the intended record without disrupting unrelated website, mail or verification records.
Resolve setup problems
If DNS Records is missing, ask the provider about account permission. Editing important A records can also be restricted by server policy. If Cloudflare or another provider is authoritative, make the public change there rather than repeatedly editing an unused local copy.
Does adding a DNS record create a website or mailbox?
No. DNS points a name toward a service. The corresponding domain, website or mailbox must also be configured at the destination.
